Juan C. Delgadillo was born in El Paso, Texas on January 7, 1966. His parents divorced when he was a baby and he and his siblings were raised by his mother Otilia and his maternal grandparents.   Juan’s family relocated to Mexico when Juan was four.  When the family returned to El Paso, Juan had a hard time the first few years learning the English language and keeping up with the school’s curriculum. But he worked hard and graduated from middle school with honors and was a member of the National Junior Honor Society.

Always one to help his family, Juan held part time jobs from middle school through graduation from College.  A wonderful feat he accomplished in 1989 when he graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Juan began his engineering career at Electrospace Systems Inc (ESI), a Richardson, Texas-based company. He was assigned to the earth station communication control systems where he worked from 1990 to 1996.

In 1996, Juan accepted a position at Precision Controls, a division of Radiation Systems Incorporated Precision Controls where he was given the challenging task of CE Manager responsible for ensuring control systems compliance with the European Union Electromagnetic Compatibility and Safety Directives. Precision Controls, RSI Inc. is now owned by General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, Inc., a business area of General Dynamics, and is a leading supplier of base station and earth station communications products and services.

Juan is currently a Senior Electrical engineer who performs both a management role as a group leader and one as a technical control system design engineer.  In his career with General Dynamics, he has participated in the design of leading edge control system configuration hardware, supporting electronic circuits and the field installation and test of these systems. One of these systems is the Southern Astrophysical Research Optical Telescope which is installed in atop Cerro Pachon in Chile and is supporting science with high-quality imaging. Juan also works on classified DoD programs.  The government, commercial and academic contracts for which he leads engineering, have a total contract value of approximately $18.1 million.

Juan is a private, dedicated family man who spends most of his free time with his wife and two daughters. The couple has two children, Kimberly and Michelle, ages 11 and 9.
